Writers CAN write if they set aside uninterrupted time, face the legendary beast named Writer’s Block, and dedicate themselves to overpowering it with their words. This October, writers from both sides of Malaysia will take a few days off and retreat to Kuching under both #MYWritersFest2019 and What About Kuching (WAK) 2019 to write their next great opus.
‘Write Now, Kuching’ is the first MYWriters writing retreat held in East Malaysia. Non-members welcomed! This 4-day 3-night writing retreat will take place from October 1 to 4, and will be based at Singgahsana Lodge, Kuching.
This is an opportunity to take a few days off and really focus on what you are trying to achieve with your writing. On hand to keep you accountable are your fellow participants, MYWriters Sarawak representative Georgette Tan, and MYWriters president Gina Yap Lai Yoong. The retreat fee is RM210/person, including accommodations and three meals a day. Even if you live in Kuching, you are required to come bunk in with your fellow writers for the duration of the retreat. For full details, visit http://tiny.cc/kchretreat.
