The idea of holding writing retreats began when writers raised the issue of having difficulty finding time to write amidst a busy life. The intention of the retreat is to set aside time to focus on our writing projects individually. MYWriters Retreats were held annually at different locations across Malaysia such as Genting Sempah, Penang, Ipoh, and Kuching from 2017 to 2019.
