At the height of the coronavirus pandemic, the usual outlets for Malaysian writers to gather, connect, and write together were closed. To fill this void, the 2020-2022 Executive Committee launched monthly virtual meetups, during which members from across Malaysia could introduce themselves to each other, catch up, discuss in either focused topic sessions or freely, and write together.
Bualan Bulanan are held every second Saturday of the month, usually in the afternoons, on Google Meet. Members can RSVP in the monthly member newsletter to receive the meeting link.
It is our hope that the Bualan Bulanan serves as another space for peer support and community nourishment.
