The online community meets in-person once a year in the Klang Valley to network, chat, and to get to know one another better offline. This gathering is open to everyone in the Facebook Group, regardless of whether they are a Society Member or not. Writers pay for their own F&B at the selected venues.

Besides serving as admins for the Facebook Group, the Malaysian Writers Society committee also encourages engagement on the Facebook Group with regular community-building posts such as:

• The bi-weekly #HariHebohDiri, where members can share their latest writing wins, whether it is meeting a writing goal, or selling a story.
• The weekly #MYWritersPoetryPrompt, where members are invited to write a poem based on the prompt criteria provided.
