Fondly known as MYWriters, the Malaysian Writers Society was established in September 2016 to facilitate activities and programmes related to Malaysian writing and publishing. MYWriters is an inclusive and non-profit initiative, providing a platform for Malaysian writers that transcends genre, language, function, medium, and experience levels.
Our ongoing long-term initiatives include expanding our rate card project to cover a wider scope of writing and publishing jobs, providing mentorship to emerging writers, implementing avenues to promote and sell our members’ books, and ongoing professional development initiatives such as the Malaysian Writers Fest, as well as a bi-annual anthology of Malaysian works.
Malaysian Writers Society believes that it is important for the writer’s support network to be supported through programmes and activities that enhance the writer’s journey.
